![]() I experimented with the power settings, set GPU to max power but no dice. It also makes no difference if I use eGPU>External, eGPU>External only. I wonder if I just miss a simple setting in the drivers or if there is something I missed setting up. I tried reinstalling drivers and apps and different settings, but the outcome is always the same: Smooth sailing when those apps are closed and lag spikes when I open them. My guess is the 3060 is constantly getting woke up and put to sleep and woke up again or something. Whenever Afterburner / RTSS is running, or even HWinfo - I am getting lag spikes depending on the polling rate of those apps (like every 2 or 5 seconds consistently). Having my first eGPu setup and after the initial setup problems I got it running except one thing. What should I set my Power Management Mode to in the control panel I have a 1080ti with no OC and I'm wondering what should I set the power mode to Right now I have it as 'addaptive'. All the 49x drivers have the issue, read somewhere they're now DCH drivers meaning you're forced to use the Microsoft store nvidia control panel ap now which may be a factor but who knows. ![]() Given how cpu limited egpu setups usually are this is a somewhat worrying trend.Īnd for the record tried a bunch of the new drivers after full driver uninstalls/clean installs etc etc, 472.12 is the last driver this wasnt an issue in. ![]() I'm running a 3060ti in a Razer Core X with an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 btw. Hopefully this is addressed in the future but last few nvidia driver updates havent so far. Cyberpunk becomes very stuttery and red dead's frames are essentially cut in half. Appears to be apparent in some games but not others, noticed in Cyberpunk & Red Dead Redemption 2 so far but not games like battlefield v/Jedi Fallen Order. See you guys like to confirm there seems to be a driver issue for all nvidia drivers so far post 472.12 causing cpu overusage in certain games severely bottlenecking the gpu. It has been a lonely conversation but maybe it will be helpful for anybody who don’t think to just try to rollback to older drivers ! Note: These features are available starting with the NVIDIA R440 driver. My understanding is that when the windows power plan is set to balanced, the NVIDIA Hybrid SLI Graphics mode should automatically switch between save power and. You can control power management and the graphics processor to use to drive displays on these notebooks. Went back to the July drivers and everything goes like a dream ! These settings appear with certain enterprise-class notebooks based on the NVIDIA Turing GPU architecture, such as the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 notebook.
